Here are some tips to get started:
- You need internal ADVOCATES. Build friendships at work. This strategy will pay off!
- Show up at meetings PREPARED. Exert yourself and share your information and ask your questions with energy and passion. People will start to engage with you at a new level.
- Take on the challenge of presenting in public. Practice a LOT. Then go out and PRESENT. Then do it as much as you can. Soon, you’ll be enjoying it and this ONE skill can make you into that “GO TO Person” who people notice.
Taking a quantum leap in your career will take a series of overcoming multiple challenges. Overcoming the challenges that life throws at you will either make you crumble or make you strong. Give it a place in your life. Set some goals and then get to work. It’s going to take knowing where you want to go, and constant energy, effort and work to get there. More than likely, you’ll need mentors, coaches, books, and even failures to get to where you’re going. You’ll stumble along the way, but you won’t fall if you know where you’re going. Keep that vision in your mind and get up every day with excited anticipation about getting one step closer to getting there.
